I was born and raised in Brampton, Canada. I grew up in a family with religious interests, but wasn't very religious myself. I had an interest in prayer, but was shy about my views and always wondered how others were so religious/spiritual.

My perspective on God and spirituality changed after meeting my Guru, Swami Sai Premananda. I began to attend satsangs, practice meditation and understand more about loving God. Chanting is something I absolutely love, and the experience of losing the mind in the rapture of the satsang gives me great bliss.

Aside from spiritual practices, I am a Grade One school teacher. 2006 was my first year of teaching and I love this profession. Teaching young children is a pleasure, as is learning from them. They have such sweet, innocent minds, and they even have beautiful perspectives about God that are beautiful to hear.

My perspective on life has definitely changed and is always changing.  Trying to evolve and grow spiritually is a difficult process as there are many challenges and tests, but I feel it is something definitely worth striving for.  I live each day to appreciate what Guru gives; understanding that it is only his love helping us to grow.
